Resellers need to think about the goals that they have for sales: how many units are you hoping to sell within a specified period of time? How much of a profit are you intending to make. Similarly, resellers are going to look into the opportunities that they have for marketing their products and should look into the goals that they have for reaching their target audiences.
It is only by establishing goals that resellers will be able to reach those goals; without knowing where you are aiming with your business, it is impossible to know whether or not you are hitting the mark. As a reseller, you will find that most of the tools that you need in order to market your business are already available to you; your goals will be focused on what to do with those tools and how to take advantage of them.
